Christan Olsen’s 2019 European Le Mans Series and Le Mans Cup campaigns are set to continue this weekend at the 4.6km Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix.
After a series of tough races to open the season, littered with bad luck and misfortune, the young Composite World-backed Dane is looking for a turnaround in both championships on Spanish soil.
In the ELMS, he will share RLR Msport’s #15 Ligier JS P3 with his full-season teammates Martin Rich and Martin Vedel, the trio set to do battle in Saturday’s four-hour into-the-night race as part of the 15-car LMP3 field.
Meanwhile, in the two-hour Le Mans Cup race, which will also be held on Saturday, Olsen will share RLR’s #14 JS P3 with a new teammate, Colin Brown. Previously, Olsen drove with his father Tom at Paul Ricard and Monza and with Mark Mayall in the Road to Le Mans races.
On Saturday the Le Mans Cup race starts at 13:00 ahead of the ELMS encounter from 18:30 (local).
