Christian Olsen is on the ground in Malaysia this week for the final round of the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series season at the Sepang International Circuit. There he hopes to climb the standings into the top three in the LMP3 class at the end of the season and score finish on the podium for the first time in the series.

Currently, Olsen and his teammate Nick Adcock’s #7 Ecurie Ecosse/Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P3 are fourth in the class standings and eight points back from third place which coincidentally is taken up by the team’s sister car.

The Sepang International Circuit, located just south of Kuala Lumpur, is a circuit Olsen is looking forward to trying for the first time. It’s world-famous for hosting the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 until 2017 as well as rounds of other major series like Moto GP. It’s a tricky, technical, 5.4km circuit with a variety of turns and undulating sequences.

This weekend the LMP3 class in Asian Le Mans has seen a boost in entries, the category now featuring 10 cars.

Qualifying for is set to begin at 15:35 local time on Saturday, ahead of the 4 Hours of Sepang itself on Sunday at 12:00 local time. Both can be streamed over on
