Christian Olsen will be put to the test in tomorrow’s Asian Le Mans Series – Official 4 Hours of Buriram, starting from the back of the grid.
Olsen’s #7 Composite World-backed Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen Racing Ligier was unable to make it out for Qualifying earlier today after an incident in practice left the team with repair work to do, which couldn’t be completed before the LMP3 teams headed out to battle for class pole.
Nick Adcock, Olsen’s teammate, was aboard the #7 when it had its off into the barriers in Free Practice 2. Thankfully he was ok after the impact, and the car will be ready for tomorrow’s race at the Chang International Circuit.
Prior to the incident, Olsen and Adcock logged plenty of laps of the circuit, and in Free Practice 1 lapped within a second of the fastest time in the class. Both, therefore, feel capable of a strong finish despite the setback.
Tomorrow’s 4 Hours of Buriram is set to start at 11:45 local time in Thailand. It can be streamed for free over on asianlemansseries.com.
