Christian Olsen is set up in Thailand and ready to go this week for the penultimate round of the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series season at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.
Saturday’s four-hour race in Buriram is set to take place in front of a huge crowd. Annually, the Asian Le Mans Series races on Children’s Day in Thailand, a national holiday that prompts fans in their tens of thousands to head out for a day at the circuit to enjoy the festivities. In the past, more than 100,000 fans have been on hand for the Asian Le Mans race.
There, Olsen and his season-long teammate Nick Adcock will be looking for their first piece of silverware of the season after showing the pace at Fuji last time out, before finishing just off the podium in fourth.
The Chang International Circuit is a 4.5km course designed by famed F1 circuit architect Hermann Tilke, which has been hosting races since 2014. It’s the site of the Asian Le Mans Series’ and Super GT’s round in Thailand every year and often produces thrilling multi-class races.
